Building a Lover from scratch

Rethinking what a ”lover” is, we thought about how we are our own lovers and how we, as individuals, need to love ourselves. That experience can be lonely, painful, but also comforting and surreal. Self love is constantly a topic in all of our lives, how to find it, how to ”love yourself” and that you can’t ”love someone else until you love yourself.” We don’t necessarily believe that is the case through, as you can love yourself, be loved by others, and love others, while still struggling to find your own self love. We have to remember that the journey is messy, painful, and often heartbreaking. But to build that love, for the self, is to building a lover, sometimes from scratch.
