“We are in the midst of a poetry unit in the high school creative writing class I teach. Today we looked at visual poetry, like "Apfel wit Wurm" by Reinhard Döhl and "l(a" by e e cummings. I decided to combined today's prompt with this concept.”

“Regardless of theme, genre, or intention, music has always been both the strongest and simplest joy in my life, and a particular source of creative and spiritual energy. Though I listen to and love many disparate kinds of music, electronic-based music offers a unique experience not unlike a modernized ecstatic ritual. In a rave or club setting the music is all encompassing and very physical. Often the attendees achieve a collective flow state and the special energy is palpable and invigorating. Moving to repetitive and satisfying beats in tune with others is an ancient and primal expression of life, the human experience and community. This track was made in the spirit of the joy I feel on the dancefloor and often for days or months after a great night dancing to a good DJ.”
